We all feel stressed at one point or another in our lives, it could be work related, family related, relationship related, financially related or just the way we choose to live.
What is Stress?
Stress is a normal physical response to events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in some way. Stress can affect us in many ways: such as ourbehavior, we may begin to sleep too much or too little, eat more or less, we become nervous and sometimes isolate ourselves from others. We can also begin to use other means to relax us, such as alcohol or drugs.
Physical Symptoms may include:
- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Rapid heartbeat
- Aches and pains
Emotionally it can create:
- Moodiness
- Irritability
- Feeling overwhelmed
- Depression
- Unhappiness
- Sense of loneliness
Some cognitive symptoms are:
- Memory loss
- Inability to concentrate
- Poor judgment
- Seeing only the negative
- Feeling anxious
